Album Notes

Euphoria's CD release Grin, which yielded the college radio hit "Debris", is maniacally happy at times with bouncy, driven beats. Grin has a touch of Punk and a large dose of rock'n'roll complete with crackling guitar solos. The songs are generally upbeat and quick with strong lead vocals and backing vocals that fill out the sound. Ballads like "Insanity","Angel", and "Ballad of a Fool" showcase a sensibility that brings an evenness to the music. This is rounded out with the added touch of violin, cello, and piano (complements of the National Symphony Orchestra) lending a little polish to Euphoria's sound. Characterizations such as "full-throttle intensity", "excellent college rock, both tough and astral", "hard-rocking, yet Beatlesque", "versatile music that makes your feet happy" and "catchy grooves that anyone can enjoy" are prevalent as Grin draws from a variety of rock and alternative influences which merges a heavy guitar sound with tight harmonies, intense songwriting, and distinctive vocals.
