Album Notes

Frank Bossert is a composer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and ever-restless creative spirit from the far north of Germany.

Having grown up in Hamburg, he has been working on his project EUREKA in his studio for more than a decade now. Under this name Frank has been producing three CDs so far.

The beginning stage of EUREKA albums takes place in the microcosm of the studio, with Frank playing and recording most of the instruments, from his striking guitar to drums, by himself. It is only during the final stage of a CD production when guest musicians join in, adding yet another level with their rather exotic instruments and vocal performances.

But the most important instrument in EUREKA is the guitar. Frank’s colourful, lyrical playing is the key to the unmistakable sound of EUREKA.

“The Full Circle” is the second EUREKA release from 2002. It was the first album that established the EUREKA sound in full flavour. The album features five songs and five instrumental tracks that form a unique blend of Celtic, world and ambient sounds. EUREKA’s “The Full Circle” is one of those albums you hear to the end, wishing not to miss anything.

It’s a real classic album with potential hits (Highland Sun, Dance of the Minstrels) along with knock-out instrumentals (Arabesque, Pay the Piper, Gigue), the epic title track (Full Circle) and a guitar Air to close it.

The great musicianship is just a bonus to the timeless music.

The album has been re-released in 2008 and is available in a re-mastered version with a reworked sleeve.

A must!

This CD and its companion "The Compass Rose" are a must for Mike Oldfield fans, specially if you miss the 80's albums from Five Miles Out to Discovery. An era that has been sadly neglected... but make no mistake, Eureka is not a heartless clon of a bygone era. Far from it, it is really original and creative music, only with that special flavor. Now they are about to reach a wider audience with a new third album...
