Album Notes

Evan Kinney comes from a rich musical background and a very musically oriented family. His father, uncle, and mother have all had a strong influence on his own song-writing and musical expression. From traditional folk, to world music, to rock and roll, Evan has had the opportunity to learn from a very diverse array of talent. Evan's passion for the acoustic sound, background in traditional music, years of experience, and respect for rmusic in general, has defined a genuine, solid sound that can be appreciated by anyone - a sound that can be as small as a coffee shop or as big as an amphitheater without losing its identity.

To date, Evan Kinney has performed with bands in many different genres. Singer/Songwriters, rock and rollers and midwest jam bands have all expressed pleasure in sharing the stage with him. Evan has performed at well known venues such as The Peachtree Tavern, Smith's Olde Bar, The Earl and Redlight Cafe, as well as various coffee shops and bars spread over Georgia.

One of the things that sets Evan apart is his multi-instrumentalism. Guitars, mandolin, accordion, banjo, tin whistle, bass, drums and percussion, piano, bouzouki, fiddle and ukulele are all included in his arsenal. Along with the array of instruments, Evan stands out by offering unique vocal styles with powerful harmonies and an unmatched lyrical depth and intensity. Through networking and colaboration with other artists, Evan's mission to constantly expand and develop his taste and talent ensures a performance that can be tailored to any venue and any audience.
