--------
The Way features Joseph Wooten (Victor Wooten Band, Steve Miller Band) on keys on the song The String Theory, and Rob Hecht is on violin for the beautiful free ballad Wishful Thinking.

Other musicians include Randy Runyon, Manami Morita, Bob Edinger on the songs Lauren's Lullaby and Woodlawn.
Simon Yu, Mika Nishimura, Jeffrey Villanueva, and Alex Gordeev are on the songs Run From Yourself and Ev's Tune.

Recorded in a span of Fall 2006 to Fall 2007 at various studios like Sanctum Sound and Mix One studios in Boston MA.
Most tracks featuring live musicians were recorded in one take with no overdubs.
It is a compilation of Evan's experiences on the east coast, with all of his friends that he has met along the way.

Very special thanks to John Billings, who recorded Joseph in his studio and helped out so very much during the tracking process. Thanks John!

The cd from start to finish is a truly great listening experience with soaring compositions by Evan Marien.
Beautiful, catchy melodies with amazing musicianship.
Evan's ability to program and sequence synths and drum machines is flawless, molding his bass around his tracks, weaving his solos in and out of the music.

The Way is Music. Music is Life.

I recently purchased The Way and I'm happy to say that I made the right choice in getting this CD! Evan happens to posess what so many of us are trying to achieve, becoming a great arranger as well as a player. The fact that he's accomplished this at a young age only makes me anxious to hear what he has to offer in the future! Definitely a name to look out for in years to come!!
