" I have a core belief; although the group improvisation works partially, the phenomenally beautiful performances take place thank to the intuition and the telepathic communication. "
The owner of these words is Evan Parker, one of the pioneers of European free jazz. With his examinations, ironic theories in improvisation and his technic hard as fire ball perhaps he is one of the most genuine musicians who has ever lived.
KonstruKt who had the honour to share the same stage with such a considerable name, had a long time dream of playing and recording with Parker. “ We came together with Brotzmann in 2008 and performed at Akbank Jazz Festival with the members of Bik Bent Braam in 2009. And for the next series our dream became Alan Parker. Upon festival's request we contacted Parker and as a result we got the chance to come together with him for a special concert”.
The live recording of this successful concert will be released in 2011 with the partnership of Ares Music and re:konstruKt...
