Eva Pohto is a Finnish singer-songwriter, whose acoustic-based music contains shades of pop, jazz, and folk. With her steady, yet sensitive voice, she leads the listener into her own world. The lyrics - about love, life, and traveling – tend to be thoughtful and melancholic, whereas the music, by contrast, is often warm and sparkling with joy. The overall sound is tinged with nostalgia, and has close ties with music from the 1960s and ‘70s.

Eva’s first record, Sweet Melancholy is scheduled for physical release in October 2008 but is available online now. She has performed her music around Finland for the past ten years, playing solo, in smaller constellations, or with her band, The Bonobos.
