This is a collaboration of Producer-Songwriter,Eve Nelson, and Chauncey Jacks. Eve and Chauncey have a magical chemistry in the Studio and this particular track was created almost as an improvisation. It is a One-take vocal, and they decided together to let the raw emotion of this song stay as it is,without attempting to over produce, with overdubs and bells and whistles.

Chauncey Jacks has been rockin' the L.A. streets for two years with her eccentric vocals and deep lyrical style. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, there is no mistaking her West Coast influence. Jacks, a die hard California loyalist, often refers to her hometown in her songwriting, painting a vivid picture of life in the palm trees. Jacks started writing and performing back in 2006 after making the staunch decision to pursue music and nothing else. Since then she has been prolific in writing incredibly soulful and striking songs. Jacks has been known to entertain many different faces in her songwriting. Whereas her solo songs tend to be influenced heavily by the music of the late 60's and 70's, the edge of The Pretenders and Bowie with deep and provocative lyrical content, her sweet side makes an appearance when singing with Duvid Swirsky in their band "Moonstars", a duet of melodic harmonies, down home lyrics and a no fuss attitude. Chauncey Jacks has been played on General Hospital, Samantha Who? and has been featured in "Jam", "The Hills, and the roller derby film released mid 2008. Jacks is known as a true artist; never keeping a wall between her words and the ears listening.

Classically trained Eve Nelson, a partner with Breaking Records, has become a leading composer, arranger and producer by bringing unlimited flexibility to the process of making music.
The Miami native produced and arranged Chaka Khan's well-received 2005 standards album "Classikhan" with the London Symphony Orchestra (she also conducted the live recording); and has collaborated with such broad-ranging talent as Donna Summer; Willa Ford, the late Eva Cassidy; Ben Jelen; Turkey's preeminent female singer/songwriter Sezen Aksu; Angela Bofill; Healther Nova, Buster Poindexter; Raven Symone and New Zealand classical crossover act Hayley Westernra.
In addition, Bernadette O'Reilly & Eve Nelson, formerly of Nelson-O'Reilly, now Breaking Records developed and launched child movie star Billy Crawford's singing career, writing his debut self-titled album and acquiring a record deal from Richard Branson's V2 Records, which propelled him to stardom across Europe. Nelson's work with dance sensation Donna Giles garnered a No. 1 hit in the U.K.
She also wrote and produced tracks on Universal's "Stuart Little" soundtrack as well as songs for the films"Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and "Serendipity".
She has created nationally televised TV themes and commercials for Lifetime, TNT, Warner Bros., the Boston Red Sox, the NBA and Major League Baseball.
Classically trained, Nelson was awarded the very first ASCAP Scholarship from Berklee College of Music in Boston. She graduated in just two years at the age of 21, landing a publishing deal with Zomba Music.
In 1994, she launched Manhattan-based multi-platform music production company Nelson-O'Reilly Productions with partner Bernadette O'Reilly, whose own writing and producing credits include musicians and singers, TV programming and comics, as well as serving as one of the heads of independent label Breaking Records in 2006.
Nelson is an innovator in an industry that rarely sees a female producer/composer who can capture the essence and emotion of pop, R&B, hip hop, dance and classical music, as well as the heart-wrenching ballad.
