notes
Everett Greene has been singing for many years. He has performed with many of the great musicians of our times, such as, Norman Simmons, Groove Holmes, Frank Wess, Wes Montgomery, Houston Person, Ross Tompkins, Red Holloway, and many others, at Clubs, Festivals, Concerts, Theaters and other venues, throughout the States, Canada, Europe and Japan. He has been classed with the likes of, Joe Williams, Johnny Hartman, Arthur Prysock, Billy Eckstien, and all the great baritone singers of our time.
He was one of five finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Vocal competition, and also an Emmy Award winner for a Musical on PBS Television. Being accepted by his peers is one of His greatest achievements.
This CD is very special because he gets the opportunity to sing two of his Brothers songs, Someplace To Be, and I've Got Love, as well as many of the songs he loves. With Houston Person being a special guest on this project was, according to Green, the Yeast and the Icing. They really make it Swing.

I'VE GOT LOVE
author: BEVERLY J. SWANNI'M A ROMANTIC! THE FEELING THAT HE EXPRESSES WITH HIS SUPERB DELIVERY TOUCHES MY HEART. I WISH THERE WERE MORE CDS BY HIM.
This is the one you were looking for!!!
author: Dave LongIncredibly mellow, and so smooth it will cure the worst day you might have had. I've seen Everett in person at the Holiday Acres Resort in northern Wisconsin and he is every bit as genteel as he sounds. Definitely a "don't-miss" performance by one of the best singers ever.

author: Sara GibbsTEN STARS.....beautiful voice, beautiful music; wonderful original compositions by Larry Greene and Marvin Chandler worthy of becoming standard material.....I listen over and over again.
I am so glad to have discovered Everett Greene!!
author: John BreenThe strong, mellow voice and the passion which must have arisen from his life experience make these songs wonderful. I cannot stop listening to this CD! I used to listen to talk radio but have not since I got this CD.
We love Everett here in his home town of Indianapolis, IN
author: Len & Katie HaasWe like this CD so much that we have ordered another copy sent to my brother. We heard that he plays it over and over just like we do.
Soothing, straight ahead jazz
author: J. K. LloydI play this CD over and over again. It is not only soothing straight ahead jazz; it also swings. One of my favorite tunes is The Nature of Love by Marvin Chandler.
Now I know why Everett is called "The Voice" at Andy's in Chicago.
author: Gwen KirkThis CD tells the story of love. Through rich, mellow tones the songs take you from the loneliness of no love, to the joy of finding love, to the sadness of losing that love.
