Album Notes

Everett James is the new impresario of electro funk, heralding the return of sincerely raw and passionate, vintage-futuristic music. Like early 80s dance jams, his head spinning rhythms are accented with synthesized melodies that sparkle through struggles for personal freedom with love drunk optimism. By summoning his stylistic ancestry, Everett James offers an over-saturated digital world with music that is as straight forward as it is ambitious.

The Lost Tapes is a collection of music that was salvaged from a vault of materal that was lost forever. These songs were recorded to become what would have been the DIGITAL WORLD album. These songs were the only survivors that were able to be remastered to compose this project. In these songs witness the evolution of the sound and a rebelious expression of FUNK music.
