Album Notes

San Francisco Alternative Pop with hook laden and radio friendly songs provides emotional and heartfelt commentary to everyday life! Think Coldplay and Train meet Seal with an edge!

"everythingnothing was a chance meeting of minds. The result was a collaboration of musical tastes that present the vision clear as day; unbridled excitement and a sense of adventure."

This is the foundation that drives this musical adventure. The initial charge like most musical epiphanys was the quest to take on the world, to share, to experience, to have as much fun as we could without breaking the law!

The chance meeting at a party in San Francisco one night changed the path of their collective musical vision; a strong bond that continues to this day! Endless evenings writing songs, ideas for songs and generally goofing around in late 1999 resulted in the sessions that formed the beginning of everythingnothing's first release "clear". A self contained project, they locked themselves away to the chargrin of all around them and emerged three months later with twenty completed songs, of which ten would appear on the self produced and released CD.

The next step was to form the band! Everythingnothing brought in well respected local musicians who were enthusiastic about the direction of the musical vision. They played locally in San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area to build a fan base and then hit the spring and summer festival circuits in 2000 and 2001.

At the end of 2001, Ian and Anthony decided to change the direction of the band and the music and went back into hiding to write what would be the songs on "choices" their current release. They went through a revolving door of musicians trying to find the right chemistry for the new sound. They went into the studio to record "choices" in the summer of 2002 and it became their "pet sounds". A recording that just required a little something else, and the bands education in studio wizardry, the recording took almost a year to complete. They let go in the early summer of 2003 and handed it off to Matt Boudreau at Broken Radio ( http://www.brokenradio.com ) to mix. Once Matt completed his work, it went to Michael Romanowski at Paul Stubblebine Mastering & DVD ( http://www.paulstubblebine.com ) for mastering work in the fall 2003. The CD was released on January 4, 2004.

Compared stylistically to bands like travis, coldplay, live, neil finn amongst others, everythingnothing's sound is radio friendly and has attracted interest from all over the world.

Everythingnothing would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to their world!"

good production and moody pop music

Well produced pop music that sounds more English than San Francisco. Favorite song is Bleed of the one's available to listen to. Its as good as anything else on the radio! Singer has a good voice and music is simple and catchy. I prefer more rock music but think this will appeal to 20+yr old girls who will dig the words. I think its worth buying.

Listened to clips of all of the songs on their website link and was impressed both by the songs, the words and the sound! Insane should be on the radio cause its better than most of the stuff being played. Why this band aren't signed beats me! I have linked their web page to my favorite bands.
