PIECES is the newest project by Everything Ahead, aka Gordon Stevenson --former front man of the defunct progressive-rock power trio Angry Candy. The goal of this album is to infiltrate your mind with a barrage of punchy vocal melodies, mid-tempo grooves, bluesy guitar riffs, and intriguing lyrical content. Add the occasional ambient guitar loop, odd time signature, cheesy keyboard, and hand-percussive-device, and the result is an eclectic yet unified, subtly-textured album that fearlessly transcends the blues/rock genre in which it is otherwise so solidly rooted. We think listeners of all ages, genders, sizes, nationalities, musical preferences, educational backgrounds, races, creeds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and political persuasions will greatly enjoy this latest release from Everything Ahead.
