A last minute cancellation at Bunters in December 2005 brought Matt Exelby and Kev Leatham together for an impromptu evening of acoustic guitar, vocals and drums, playing a mixture of Matts songs and covers.
Having enjoyed the experience immensely they recruited Coralie Rowbotham on cello, Ben Morgan on bass, Rosalie James on backing vocals and it is this five-piece which performs today, although other musicians have appeared on their debut album "All Aboard The Skylark".
Stylistically the band draw on influences as diverse as Bob Dylan, Burt Bacharach and Ronnie Hazelhurst with elements of Ragtime piano, all immersed in the eternal quest for a decent pop tune

What can I say about this LP (yeah, I'm old enough to still be calling them that!) that'll make you go out and buy it? Just click on the mp3 tracks, guys, or look them up on myspace - job done!
The hooks are SO delicious, the melodies SO wondrous that they worm their way into your brain and take up residency. Trust me, these are the kinda tunes you can NOT get rid of (even if you scrubbed the inside of your head with bleach!).
Toe-tappingly, grin-inducingly fantabulous album!
