Eyes of Pandora is an alternative pop band from the musically diverse ecosystem of Miami,Florida. Spearheaded by founding members songwriter/guitarist Robert Gueits and vocalist Susan Tojo, the duo have been performing their eclectic brand of anthemic rock in South Florida since the mid 1990's, but with their new self-titled album, the band is poised to take their music to the another level.
Influenced by jangly american rock, rockabilly, and mainstream pop "Eyes of Pandora" pleases. Whether bearing unrestrained criticism of social/political issues with songs like "Factory City" and "Hard Hand of War", or simply documenting loves frailty in songs "Burn for You", and "It Won't Be Long", the bands forceful style, brings powerful testimony to their melodically song-oriented style.

Eyes of Pandora
‘Welcome to the way / it is around here / where actions such as yours / are condoned every day’ is the chorus that greets us from the opening ‘Welcome’, a 3-eyed monster of impending guitar and socially goosed lyrics from behind. The guitar work is quite exceptional all the way thru, not just the way it’s played, but the recording quality makes it already major-label quality. Sometimes you can forget just how good the string machine is, like when it serves as the competent, loud backing of tunes like ‘1969’. If I were guitarist Robert Guetis I’d be careful who I open for. You show someone up who’s supposed to be better, and you could be like that guy who invented the water powered car. Never heard of him? Oh well. That should warn you right there.
Susan Tojo, the voices of the duo, also shines her beam throughout these indie pop/rock songs, growing from a woman to little a girl and back again, sometimes within the same song. ‘Damaged’ sure blends their powers together in what oughta be a cool single. ‘I’m not ready to let it go / I’m not ready to forgive and forget / As I roll it over / the more the feelings grow / as I turn it over / I try not to let it show’. While Susan laments like a ruptured housewife, the guitars grind coffee, occasionally sounding their warning beep. Yet there’s a strangely acoustic feel to the mix which builds into the electronics like an evil surprise party.
Hailing outa Miami, FL, the Eyes have it. If this is typical of the southern states, they’ll soon be taking over. Then we’ll all trash the Beatles and thrash Pandora’s cuddly cube.

Amazing! Very progressive pop style with vocals that warrant your attention. The music has an amazing quality to it and the lyrics where simply breathtaking. The musicianship is overpowering and so smooth it makes me want to hear this CD over and over. In fact, I did. I think I wore it out. I have to say that I was truly impressed by the talent here. The vocals are absolutely beautiful. The songs are sung with a passion and purity that I haven't heard from a band like this. What is a band like this? Well, a true rarity. The combination of intelligent lyrics and great musicianship is one this, but for a band to be so evolved in their own presentation of their music and passion for what they have to say, I just found myself speechless. This is music that has it all. Inspiration, passion, musical excellence, and it's put together is a nicely sewn package that works. I have to say that I am truly impressed at what I hear and I believe that anyone else who hears this music will also. Simply Amazing!

Eyes of Pandora are an alternative pop band who have been compared with October Project and 10,000 Maniacs. Robert writes perceptive lyrics about social/political issues, relationships and heartbreak. He is also an accomplished guitar player. Susan is a powerful songstress and has a wide expressive vocal range. The musicianship is top-notch throughout this twelve-track collection. Their music is a blend of smokin’ guitars, steady beats, harmonies and catchy hooks. There is a lot of energy and emotion here. The CD opens with 'Welcome' where the listener is greeted with edgy guitars, a driving beat, souring vocals and great hooks. '1969' juxtaposes ideals and reality with a slightly Celtic flare. The song has power guitar cords, a groovy beat, and stellar vocals. 'Damaged' has an angry edge with intense guitars, a funky groove and forceful vocals.
