"GOOD LUCK PLACES is overflowing with superbly crafted gems." --David Malley, editor Rolling Stone Magazine
***************
PERFORMING SONGWRITER magazine's praise for "Good Luck Places" (May/June 2003): "Eyler pays homage to the City of Brotherly Love through excellent lyrics and guitar playing and compositions steeped in honest, classic soul...he has the hearty, rich voice of a soul singer twice his age, and his melodies call to mind forefathers such as Al Green and Jimi Hendrix and contemporaries such as Paul Weller and Sonia Dada."
Greensboro, NC, NEWS AND RECORD (May 2003) FIVE STAR Review: "Eyler's deep, heart-felt vocals swim alongside melodies that could have come from just about any era...(though) he has a style all his own."

Eyler's got piping chops, true grip and a smoking heart on 'Good Luck Places.'
author: L.S. Derkins
Eyler's got piping chops, true grip and a smoking heart on 'Good Luck Places.' Bellows from firey depths surge all through "Worthy of Suspicion," each line signed with a flourish right on the mark and left in the wake to cool. Meanwhile, "Honey's Been Feeling Bad in the Morning" is downright alarming when tender turns desperate. But redemption carries the day on "Love Will Straighten You" and finds new hope throughout Eyler's songwriting and composition. From urgent to understated, Ben Eyler's full arrangements and solid presence as narrator serve him well in his commitment to deliver spirit and craft each time. People, he's here to stay.
