David Street aka Bluesman E Z Street. Born in Tennessee, grew up playing guitar and harmonica on the banks of the Mississippi river. He continued his journey in music playing all across the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean.... In NYC he met and played music on stage with Johnny Winter, Buddy Miles, Jimi Hendrix and many more top professionals of that era. He joined a band called Train which was signed to Capitol Records and was a big part of the inspiration for the famous "Woodstock" concert that you have probably heard the music from and seen the movie. Train was managed and produced by Michael Lang and Artie Kornfeld, the two people who actually orginized and put the Woodstock concert together. Artie is named "The father of Woodstock" you can find all of these facts on the internet.
He then traveled across the USA. where he met and played music with many more top music professionals such as Stevie Wonder, Bobby Womack, Dr. Hook, Joe Cocker, and Leon Russell, just to name a few. The band Rare Earth recorded a song E Z wrote and dedicated to his friend Jimi Hendrix called "Funky Black Man" which you can find on You Tube along with another version of the same song recorded by Earnest Jackson. The Band HUB an offspring band of Rare Earth recorded another of E Z's songs, "Down To Acapulco" on the Capitol record label.... After a while he returned to his home state of Tennessee and lived in Nashville where he aquired an endorsement from Hohner Harmonicas, (Hohner Inc.) the Worlds oldest and largest manufacturer and distributer of harmonicas. He put a band together in Nashville called, The Rock Doctors and recorded an album. One of the songs off that album was picked up by the Dick Clark TV Production, "So You Think You Can Dance" and used as a commercial for the show.
Moving back to Memphis he recorded this album "Bluesman," EZ Street, Goin' Down To Memphis, and now performs in many venues around the Memphis area. He still tours the USA from time to time and you may even catch one of his shows in other cities around the world.
