Michelle Campagne has been writing music and performing live for the past 20 years. As a founding member of the bilingual folk-roots group Hart-Rouge, she has produced a remarkably diverse discography that includes "Inconditionnel", which dominated the Québec pop radio charts in the early 90’s; a gospel album entitled "Bonsoir Québec" featuring a 30-person choir from Kentucky; and the critically-acclaimed more recent recording, "Beaupré’s Home", released in the United States on the prestigious indie label Red House Records. She has performed in many countries and throughout the continent, most notably at the Newport Folk Festival and California’s Strawberry Festival in the US.
Michelle Campagne has also written songs for kids throughout her career including several dozen for her sister Carmen, one of French-Canada’s best-known singers for children. And as a performer, she has been involved in various concept family albums too, like "Un trésor dans mon jardin", written by legendary Québecois poet-songwriter Gilles Vigneault, and the world music lullaby project "Dream songs night songs From Mali to Louisiana (Dodo la planète do 2)", a recent winner of the prestigious Parents’ Choice Gold Award in the United States.
