In 1999, in San Francisco's North beach district, a few longtime friends got together to write some songs and play some music for fun. What started out as a Beatles cover band and neighborhood spoof, steadily evolved into a rock band now known as Face on Straight. With an intense love of music and performing, and a strong friendship as a foundation, they progressed quickly and put together an impressive collection of original songs. They are honest, fun, deep and catchy. With many different influences and styles between the members, they have created their own distinct sound, a brand of rock and roll that can appeal to the masses. Spanning different ages and styles.
After years of gigging the bars and clubs of the San Francisco bay area, Face on Straight has moved their focus to songwriting, recording and collaborating. Currently, FOS performs as an acoustic duo, and concentrates on writing strong and sweet pop-rock tunes. They have recorded an album of full electric songs, as well as an acoustic EP. In their latest incarnation, FOS continues to pick up steam with every gig and every new song and doesn't appear to be slowing down. It just may be that the next time your find yourself singing along to the radio, it may be an FOS song. So, keep your eyes and ears open, and your face on straight.
