Album Notes

Facing Winter sounds somewhat like a blend of Elliott Smith, Radiohead, and Sunny Day Real Estate. Their music combines inviting vocals and crisp guitars with an earthy rhythm section for a textured, yet simple sound.

Frontman Justin Birchard’s smooth, genuine voice and artistically crafted acoustic-guitar sounds are complimented by drummer Jeff Goluszka and bassist Liam Doyle. The trio is based in Glendale Heights, Illinois.

The new album "Seas Drain Into Space" showcases Facing Winter's dynamic creativity. The result is a collection of musical realms ranging from passionately melodic ("Pocket of Change", "Drift") and energetically upbeat ("Moonshine", "New Explosion") to unabashedly edgy ("Colorful", "Killshot").
