Try to define the true meaning of the hip-hop culture and its music and not mention The Faculty.
As defined: The Faculty is a staff of four individualistic personalities united to set forth new standards in hip-hop music.
" Faculty is RAW - run and tell the world" is the infectious hook repeated time after time on their hit debut release "Bring The Pain".
The Faculty is a group of individuals who pays the highest of compliments to each others style and nurtures each member to give there greatest performance every time.
The Faculty started 4 years ago, as the brain-child of Jesta, who had a vision of unifying four extremely talented solo artist as one unit to re-write hip-hop history. Working to create styles and verbal abilities untamed and unmatched by anyone, The Faculty has truly up the stakes in the rap game. The group consists of members JestA, the innovative beat smith from Florida, and Chicago's own Currency and Iowa born and raised Ro-Stylez and straight out the back woods Judo of Virginia.
It was told to the group, at first, that they were just another rap group. There response to these criticisms was several encore performances at Club Cream and Club 112 Talent Showcase. These performances caught to the attention of an area promoter who booked the group as one of the foundation acts for an AUC Black College Tour, in which there first night show was cut short, because there energetic performance caused a mad rush of true hip-hop fans to the front of the stage to join the group on stage. This is the performance that caught the attention of JAMTAM Entertainment President/CEO James Daniel who immediately offered the group a recording contract and the opportunity to be the launching of a new recording venture in Atlanta.
The groups debut LP release "Group Therapy" will re-introduce truth into hip-hop. The album was entirely written and arranged by the group and produced by Jester. It plays host to a variety of old school flavors combined with the truth which can only described as raw talent.
As it is written, and so it shall be done the world shall stand witness to the renaissance of hip-hop, which is THE FACULTY.
