These recordings were the result of a "song writing adventure" that stretched across California, Colorado, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, Missouri, North Carolina, Iowa, and Kansas. Criss crossing the country, letting each scene and sound seep into the music.

This album is a combination of Dan's obsession with coloring in every brick on a wall with some form of electricity and John's painstaking attempts to leave soul-shaped prints on the lyrics and melody.
