keep an eye on these boys...i know i will
author: SadieIf this is the first Cd out by these guys, then they might just have a pretty bright carrer ahead of them! To define them to any style or artist is tough, they have a refreshing style to melodie in this day of drab cookie cutter rock & roll. The songs that jam are tight and they have a good balance between elongated material and those that are more radio friendly. This album takes you on a voyage for sure. Lyricaly its thought provoking but not overly cereberal.Touching on ideals that are universal and truth as in the closing track Wonderus, the prveberal cherry on top, HOLDING ON TO LIFE MY OH MY THE STRIFE,THE FIGHT AGAINTS THE FIGHT, HERE'S TO FINDING OUT WHATS RIGHT. Musically we'er talking good riffs and catchy hooks. Great instrmental work and interplay between guitar and keyboards. No cheese on this cracker kids. And when was the last time you got a sweet dose of three part vocal harmony? I can only imagine its hard to keep the back bone solid with so much coming out of four guys, props to the rythm section who keep this stiched from first to last. The only thing that pulls from this other wise fine recording might come from wanting to hear a more clear deffinition of instruments. Is this a detraction from production? Out To See wants to be a large sounding record But hay ,your driving on the high way with some "buds" and your hand invariably goes to the volume. Cant wait for album #2 and to see them live. Keep it coming boys!!
I love these guys.
author: NicoleI absolutly love these guys... live, in my car, at the beach, their music fits any occasion. Funky, and insightful, this cd reflects life. mine, yours or that guy over there in the corner by himself... it all relates. Great work, i can't wait until the next cd comes out. Any news about a Live From Choochapalooza album in the works?
awesome , well worth the money
author: Christhe cd rocks, once you hear this cd you'll want to go see them live. the cd sounds great and is well worth the little bit that it costs.
Very energetic and professional sounding, great lyrics and even better musicians
author: GregA great CD that features great piano, guitar and drum solos as well as a groove influenced guitar and bass sound. The songs are well writen lyrically and ecspecially musically. The quartet sounds as if they have been playing 5 or ten years longer than they have. Many songs have noodling guitar solos and break off into improvational jams. The piano is a very nice touch to all the tracks and it inspires a "Alabama Song"esque chorus on "Superspeed Conveyorbelt". The first track, "Mystify" is lead by a great guitar rift that is accompanied by very unqiue vocals and the rest of the band. The whole CD is a success and a must have!
