Recording at the Eb5 Art Gallery was an experience the musicians couldn't pass up. Jazz classics by Coltrane,Mc Coy Tyner, Horace Silver and Joe Henderson were played against an artful backdrop that added an element of elegance and ambiance, not to be found at another venue, that was as conducive to creativity such as this.
"The Meeting" (DVD) was an impromptu session between Houston based jazz guitarist Mike Fageros and legendary drummer Marion Booker Jr., who has played with many great musicians, including George Benson(Cookbook),Dr. Lonnie Smith (Think),Brother Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff and Jimi Hendrix. Delover Axel was chosen in a supportive role as bassist, adding his abilities and talent to "The Meeting".
Due to the environment of creativity which surrounded them, they were able to pay hommage to the jazz greats that preceeded them who composed the music that they played.
We certainly hope that you enjoy "The Meeting"(DVD), which was impromptu and unrehearsed, showing the depth and the mastery of these musicians.
Since this is a DVD you may click the link You Tube in the link section to the left or go directly to www.youtube.com/mkfageros to view a clip of a great drum solo by Living Legend Marion Booker Jr. on Inner Urge.

First, the selection of the material is great! The spontaneous manner of communication between the artists is great! Marion Booker takes a superb drum solo on Inner Urge not to mention all of the pyrotechnics that Mike lays down on guitar and the great bass solo on Song for my Father by Delover Axel. Enough said!
