Album Notes

Performer, composer and pianist John Fahrenwald studied with the Greats in piano performance while at Indiana University. John then lived in both Portugal and Brazil many years and from these experiences he absorbs and captures the essences of both cultures through the ears of a musician.
Naissance Music was created by John Fahrenwald in March 2002 to promote his first compositional album, also released in March 2002. Naissance means "birth" in French. The word is also incorporated into English to connote a fresh start, a new beginning, an awakening; it's an appropriate title for the spirit of the album, and also the celebration of it being John's first CD.
