Album Notes

FAKE? was born with the concept of having no boundaries, both in terms of music style and live performance. It is this open approach to the creativity in music that has birthed a constantly evolving, truly unique sound. While decidedly a rock band, the electronic, ethereal, and the organic have never been captured as successfully as they are in their release of "Switching on X."

Recorded in London with a fresh backing lineup, the record breathes of new life. Driving rock tracks, aggressive beats, and experimental studio elements are all complimented by Ken Lloyd's varied vocal approach. Following FAKE?'s latest releases, “Songs From Beelzebub” and “Marilyn Is A Bubble” we have seen the band’s style further evolve into one which can truly be called as their own.

FAKE? are also renowned for their brutal and energy-driven live shows. While doing countless headline tours, FAKE? have also opened up for Guns N Roses in Hong Kong (Their first Asian show in almost a decade), and have also played festivals in Japan and South Korea alongside bands such as The Offspring, Weezer, Placebo and The Black Eyed Peas.

Before having heard this cd I knew it would be the album of the year :) It's not a simple album but a story : He is the best lyricist I know, the melodies are structured, the electronic parts melted with guitars gives a unique sound. If you want to relax, D-Elite & Novocaine are for you. GO FAKE? !

As a long time fan of Fake?, I've known all of their music to be best of quality and probably some of the most catchy and rocking music I'd ever heard. Switching on X is absolutely no exception to this! I highly recommend this album to anybody and everybody!
