The CD covers the whole Cure’s album "Faith" out in 1981. The sound is very uncompromising, spacing from shoegazing to dark pop, from trip hop to industrial, all of it tied together by a strong melodic attitude.

THE BAND
elio isaia: vocals
giorgio bormida: bass, additional guitar
jean paul braghin: guitar, bass, drum, piano and cello samples
The band was formed in 1999 and released the album "the drowned world", deeply inspired by the ‘80s new wave and the ’90s shoegazing, which sold a few hundreds copies and was distributed by nightbreed. A series of showcases in Italy introduced the album.
Tracks from the drowned world were very appreciated on mp3.com, reaching the download top ten in the goth rock section. The track dark again became very popular, winning goth rock awards on other mp3 sites.
THE SOUND
The cd covers the whole cure’s album of the same name out in 1981. The band, being all great the cure’s fans, has philologically analysed the original and completely assimilated it, reshaping its deep atmospheres into a hooky and up to date album. The sound is very uncompromising, spacing from shoegazing to dark pop, from trip hop to industrial, all of it tied together by a strong melodic attitude. The mix of compelling vocals, dynamic guitars, anchoring bass and sweeping percussions, infused in lush and inviting landscapes, builds an ideal bridge between the 80s and the 2000s alternative trends. The album sounds like the cure played by liars, produced by nine inch nails and remixed by my bloody valentine. All of this live at a funeral party. All of this intended with pleasure of the listener in mind.
THE PRESS
(about fallen tears' previous album "the Drowned World")
“The Drowned World is ambitious and successfully crafted. The depiction of death in its many guises are blended beautifully in some of the most original work.” (starvox magazine)
“The composed lyrics provide excellent insight of mourning and loss without ever becoming trite. This is a highly recommended body of work for those who like the classic Gothic genre sound. I am quite sure it will be some time before it is removed from my CD player.” (legends magazine)
