Album Notes

Hailing from Joliet, Illinois, FALSEFACED was formed in 2007 by four good friends, each of whom came from different bands as well as varying musical backgrounds. However, they all had one common mission: to create music which was brutal, yet appealing to a wide musical audience.

During March of 2007, the newly formed band’s mission was brought to an abrupt halt when FALSEFACED’s lead vocalist, Eric Johnson, was faced with the untimely passing of his 22 year-old wife. With all band members mourning the loss of a wife and close personal friend, FALSEFACED was completely on hold and its future was uncertain.

Drawing strength from its loss, FALSEFACED decided to continue forth with its mission, forging ahead with a sense of new found determination and persistence. The mixed emotions caused in part by the passing of Eric’s wife fueled the band’s desire to see its mission through and led them into the studio to work with producer/engineer Chris Djuricic(Novembers Doom, Soil) of Belle City Sound Studios in Racine, Wisconsin. With the EP, My Worst Enemy, almost completed, FALSEFACED turned to award-winning graphics designer/photographer Stephen Jensen(Alice Cooper, Dimebag, Static X) of F3 Studios for the EP’s art direction and photography.

Working with both Djuricic and Jensen proved to be a winning combination, as My Worst Enemy helped FALSEFACED to gain the attention of other local bands as well as national acts. The band’s high energy shows and excellent musicianship have earned them the privilege of playing alongside well-known national acts such as Soulfly, Mushroomhead, Soil and Five Finger Death Punch. With each new show FALSEFACED plays, they garner the attention and respect of new fans.
