Album Notes

Far Cry is a blend of sounds from some of the great rock bands of the past decades. They take on southern rock, blues, hard rock, pop and blend these styles and more with a new and exciting sound that somehow echos some of the classic rock bands. Their current project, "Hurricane", runs the gamut of their creativity and showcases the many faces of Far Cry.

History/Biography
Far Cry was started back in the early '90s by Mike and J.T. as a garage band where like minded musicians could get together, have a few beers and jam a couple of times a month. In '94, Larry (Big Daddy) started sitting in on bass along with their first full time drummer, James. Several years went by with these same musicians getting together and over time, these guys started writing some pretty good tunes and getting really tight as a group. Sometime in 2003, it was decided that this Neo-classic Rock should be shared with the rest of the world. Because of time constraints, James left the band in 2003 and was replaced by Eric who is now the band's drummer. Far Cry just finished their debut CD, "Hurricane", and plays gigs in the DFW area. Mike belts out the lyrics and uses his raw talent to put together some awesome lead guitar lines. J.T. comes up with some new and unusual chords that several of the songs are based on. Big Daddy uses his extensive music education to provide the road map that gets us from start to finish in one piece. Eric lays down the beat that keeps everything moving in the right direction. Together they are Far Cry.
