Danielle Colby, America's "queen of rust" and favorite tattooed junk-sleuth of History Channel's American Pickers, has teamed up with Farmageddon Records to release Danielle Colby Presents: The Music of Farmageddon Records.
Colby shares her love and support of American roots and underground music by hand-picking each of the 14 tracks on the disc from the eclectic roster of edgy and roots-based artists found on Farmageddon Records, an ambitious new independent label based in Montana. She also bares her photogenic side in an exclusive photo shoot with photographer Amy Richmond for this special project in a 12-page booklet accompanying the CD.
Featured on the CD are brand new songs by The Perreze Farm, The Goddamn Gallows, Slackeye Slim, J.B. Beverley, Walker & The Texas Dangers & Sean K. Preston. Other artists include Black Eyed Vermillion, Rachel Brooke, Graham Lindsey, James Hunnicutt, The Calamity Cubes, Jayke Orvis, Highlonesome, and Ando & The Jolly Barrels.
Brace yourself, and be prepared to get a solid understanding of the talent that hides in the cracks of the underground "roots music" scene. This compilation is is limited to a one time pressing, it will appeal to music fans who appreciate styles of music ranging from Bluegrass & Traditional Country to the the edginess of a Quentin Tarantino Movie Soundtrack.
