Album Notes

Greetings Earthlings! Judy has been a singer/songwriter for 30 years, and is now sharing her songs with the world.

She is giving 2$ to the Highlands Nature Sanctuary in Highlands County, Ohio for preservation efforts for each CD sold.

You may reach them at sanctuary@bright.net.

Seven of these songs are done with the hoop drum, the other 8 are with the acoustic guitar.

Judy's voice has been strengthened with the chants and vocables of the Native tradition and also of the Gospel Choir at a Unity church in Columbus, Ohio.

Though opposites in spiritual direction, music is the common force that moves the spirit in Judy's life.

Her love of the Earth is shared through the story/songs, and help us all recall a happier time, one of peace.

Her personal experiences are expressed in this gentle, musical way.

Performances for the Metroparks here in Central Ohio are entitled "The Heartbeat of the People" and the chants are taught as we step around the fire doing circle and snake dances, honoring the earth, and each other.

The children gather in the center on the Buffalo Robe, and use the rattles and shakers that add so much.

Join Judy as she explores this life, and Earth, and welcomes you to walk beside her for a time...

Beautiful Native Voice From Columbus Ohio
author: Michael Allen

This cd is pretty decent. While there isn't much musical arrangment here Judys guitar work is pretty solid. There are a couple standout songs on this cd including "Umbea," "Voice on the Wind," and "The Storm". While Judy makes no mention of her personal background it is nice to hear a beautiful native voice from Columbus, Ohio. Another artist from Ohio worth checking out is Ginny Frasier who represents the Shawnee URB, her cd "Adopted Strangers" has a number of songs about the buckeye state.
