Album Notes

The original band members of Too Many Shoes got back together in the Spring of 2006 to record some of Tracy Howard's new and previously unrecorded material. We learned our parts to the songs during the month of March and after 2 rehearsals together as a band, we went into the studio on April 3, 2006 and recorded 12 tracks in about 8 hours. The vocals and guitar leads and some other tracks were done in May. Kimberly, the fiddle player layed down 2 tracks in July and the CD was finally mixed down, mastered in late August. The final production was completed in September. Many prayers and this music project kept Tracy with us longer than the doctors ever said she would. Her music is a gift for people of all ages to enjoy and listen to. Dana Salmela (lead guitar & lead vocals), Mary Kirk (bass guitar & backup vocals), and Kebra Warnick (percussion & vocals) are still together playing in and around North Florida and Southeast Georgia. To check out one of their shows you can visit their band website (toomanyshoesrock.com) to see their schedule and get links to their myspace pages. The girls are funny, they rock out and always put on an excellent show.

Very underrated
author: Nick Christian
Wow, this album is amazing! In terms of the lyrics and overall music composition, I would give this CD 5 stars. Overall, the songs are very mellow and are great to listen to while driving or when I am in need of some cheering up. In my opinion, "Love Sings" and "Little Green Man" are the stand out tracks. More people need to become aware of this fantastic compilation and the talented band that created it. Too Many Shoes rocks!

A mastery of lyrical artistry! Recomended to all music enthusiasts!

myself being one of the most successful music industries C.E.O.s find this C.D. the most refreshing and heart inspired accumulation of lyrical tracks my ears have had the PRIVILLEGE to receive. I understand that the brilliant lyricist Tracy Howard has moved on to the ultimate venue (heaven) as a fitting reward to her talent. It is truely A god given talent like hers that allows for my success. Not since the late Janice Joplin have I heard honest raw vocals as Tracys nor felt heart and soul stiring words blended with equaly gifted sound as Tracy and her band have left the world to enjoy! Truely a legacy left as a testament to her life. I found myself feeling short changed that I did not know of her until she was gone. Yet I feel pleasure from the gift of her music. She will truely be missed by the living that are lucky enough to enjoy her gift!!
