Branched Oak Reggae

by Fathom Five

With music that celebrates boating/sailing, touches upon social & spiritual issues, but is mostly just plain fun, this debut album is a straight up mix of reggae/ska/island influence with a double shot of Midwestern lake life thrown in!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Fathom Five releases their debut album, Branched Oak Reggae. With music celebrating boating, sailing, nature, and a love for reggae music, the album blends Midwestern lake life with Caribbean island culture.

Friday nights on Branched Oak Lake in land locked Nebraska, founding members Tim and Paul, with an assorted group of boating friends, would cast off from the docks and listen to reggae and ska all night while drifting about the lake until the early hours of the morning. A tradition began, the Reggae Cruise Night, and from this as well as sailing experiences in the Caribbean, an album was born .

The material in the album embraces boating and sailing, touches upon social and spiritual issues, but is mostly just plain fun, a straight up mix of reggae/ska/island influence with a double shot of Midwestern lake life thrown in!
