Album Notes

This is a classic live recording from the once legendary Zephyr Club in Salt Lake City. Recorded in one evening, this disc showcases Tim Wray’s early song writing and guitar playing, a raw energetic Fat Paw show. Includes such live hits as "Down the River", "Greenfield", "Swamp Thang", and "If Wishes Were Fishes". Great sound quality, the fans favorite!

"Fat Paw is a psychedelic groove band, but a better description would be "improvisational psychedelic desert music." The style is closely associated with that of the Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic. Fat Paws' sound however, is indisputably and uniquely their own. A new genre altogether seems to have naturally developed by those forced to classify the sound, that being "desert music," a fitting description immediately recognized when listening to Wray's signature and dancing guitars. This band is unafraid of mixing sounds from the "old school" with sounds of their own making. One of the band's most noted strengths; however, is Tim Wray's songwriting, which flows intelligently and mystically, his storytelling adding yet another dimension to the already ingeniously layered music. It is Fat Paw's rule to offer their music directly from their souls, and in turn, the audience receives it directly into theirs."
