The style of music on this CD ranges from "completely foreign" to "more American than apple pie." The start of the CD will make you cry and then track 3 begins... and you can hardly sit still. In fact, listen to track 3 and try to hold still, it doesn't work! And it only gets better from there. Did I mention that there are almost no lyrics on this album!? Bottom line, it is different and some people won't get it, but for true music lovers this one is hard to beat. Way to go Fatty! -Lucas Wayne

violin without borders

The intimate sound of Fats' violin on this CD reminds me of my grandfather playing in my ear at the breakfast table....many years ago. You can almost smell the rosin. The tone is consistantly sweet and warm as Fats crosses various styles and modes. The instrumental backing also has a timeless quality, visiting older genres while sounding contemporary. How do they do it? Good question!
