Groovy, electric contemporary jazz-improvisation plugged in..................unmistakably FUNKY.

Fat Time was founded in 2002 as a collaboration between guitarist Allard Gosens and bass player Marten Schulp. Coming Man Piano player Mike Roelofs was added. They played. The chemistry was immediate, intense and overwhelming.

Result: FAT TIME. No stale formats here, but an intense, interactive, heavily jazzing instrumental groove soup at 220 Volts - at least. Drummer Sjoerd Rutten joined, the perfect rhythmic companion, and things took off. Each member contributes their pieces: present-day funky grooves and compositions, with all their greasy roots drenched in modern jazz: that's a FAT TIME.
