A complete work of art
author: ShirazAn artistic graphic design cover wich enfolds one of the best cd's of Fawzi Chekili. More than a mixture, it's a real jazzy reinterpretation of tunisian traditional music.Fawzi, through his compositions, brings the two worlds together with sensitivity, ease and beauty. A real pleasure to listen to the tough work of the different musicians.A great work on melodie, harmonie and improvisation."Gamra" gives an idea of the album, I fell in love with "change" and "tasameh" Just great!!!
Great music that shows artistic and musical maturity...
author: WajdiFawzi's compositions show a delicate musical sensitivity and display different musical colors among which the arabic and tunisian sounds that are well mixed with a strong jazz vocabulary... His guitar or oud improvisations are very inspired. Great job!
Fawzi has improved on the tradition he has been developing
author: Ferid ChekiliWith ECHIHEM, Fawzi has continued and improved upon the tradition _ he has been developing since his first releases _ of producing a form of music resulting from a fusion of Jazz and traditional Tunisian Folk, as evidenced by his choice of the guitar and ud. The overall impression that one gets upon listening to the CD is a very melodious and balanced kind of Jazz. His original and harmonious rendering of Sassi's classical title ECHIHEM illustrates this fusion of the two genres and emphasizes their compatibility.
