Fed Up! – Fuck Your Life
Now that’s something interesting! A new album by these New York Hardcorers. 16 fast hardcore tunes (New York Style) that will blow your brains off! Short tunes straight to the point, with lyrics about everyday life things (sex, aggro, alcohol …)! Really catchy tunes, with breakdowns, punk rythms sometimes, some melodies, and a singer that spits the lyrics in your face! I bet they are influenced by Warzone big time! A big plus is the nice artwork and the good production (United Riot Records)! According to my opinion this is a REALLY good album! It just got released so get it while it’s still hot!

Incase you already didn\'t know, Fed Up plays Oi! influenced hardcore. You know that shit that was coming out of NY during the mid to late 80\'s that had a slight hint of metal but still remained hardcore punk. They have been at it for some time and they show no signs of slowing up or bowing to any trends. This is exhibited by both the raw recording, un-PC lyrics and the simplistic layout of the album.
There are quite a few gems on this 16 track full length, especially lyrically which for me, makes this album. A song about Steel Reserve and a song about the love of a woman\'s backside are enough to get me onboard. Call me a pervert but I can\'t resist a song that includes a line like \"Nice and tight, big and round. Spread those cheeks and scream out loud. If that girly ain\'t got no butt than rice and beans will plump it up!\". Golden. And fuck, call me an alcoholic but I think people need to know the splendors of the high gravity malt liquor known as Steel Reserve. Shit the only beers that I know of that will get you fucked up for cheaper are the 10% heavy hitters Camo and Four-O. Other choice lyrical themes include getting your mua fuckin ass beatdown for being a gump, showing love to the bands that have paved the way, love of tattoos, and of course the act of chupa chocha (sucking pussy for those of you not familiar with Spanish swears).
Some of the other things that I enjoy about this release and the band as well is their approach to the art of song writing. As anyone that listens to punk/hardcore and any of its subdivided sub-genres knows, it isn\'t about technicality or flash, it\'s about energy and a mean ass vocalist and these guys got both. I didn\'t hear any sweet arpeggios, sweeping, or tremolo picking but there wasn\'t a point during any of the 16 songs that had me thinking. \"Fuck, when is that going to be over already!\", because god knows that I\'ve said that many a time. Plus Dennis has that awesome, straight up NYHC delivery that at times reminds me a bit of Roger Miret.
And to touch on the simplistic layout that I hinted at during the beginning of this review, simple can be good sometimes. I can\'t lie though, I wish they would\'ve used the Fed Up! logo and text for the band name and album title on the front cover. It would\'ve kept it simple with a little something extra. However, they get bonus points for the picture of the bodega on the back of the tray though.
Songs Worthy of Replay: \"Butt Man\" & \"Steel Reserve\"
Synopsis: Fed Up! delivers another fine release with two of my favorite lyrical themes, malt liquor and bouncy booties, the only thing missing is the weed song, and I ask, where is the weed song?!
Check it out for yourself and be the judge!
Review from Bystander Zine
Fed Up play a style of hardcore that goes back to the roots of the music, American’s playing a harder and metal influenced style of Oi!. Fuck Your Life harkens back to those days; sounding like the early releases of Agnostic Front, Warzone, Life’s Blood and Krakdown. Not only in sound and style, but even the way the drums and guitars are recorded.
The lyrics to Last Straw and Hostile Attitude are classic anti-social anthems. Songs like Sick Fucks, Butt-Man and Chupa Chocha are a little juvenile and could be interpreted as degrading to women. I’ll admit I am a prude. I think one song a record about sex is more then enough.
What I like about Fed Up! is that they are doing this naturally, they aren’t trying to ride a trend into popularity. It’s a nice reminder that hardcore doesn’t have to be about slick recordings and sick merch. If you’re like me, a sucker for first and second wave NYHC, then you will enjoy this. Good to see a band keeping it real.

MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL ZINE REVIEW # 301 (BR)
Fuck yes! You skins and punks are in luck! Dennis F.U. and his veteran NYC hardcore crew present the brand new FED UP! CD entitled Fuck Your Life! Yes sire! This United Riot Records release will singe your short hairs on your goddamn head! This CD comes right at you with opening salvo \"Sick Fucks.\" Some of you may have found yourselves in a strip club or a peep show over the years. Song two is \"Old School Pride (O.S.P.)\" wherein FED UP! pay respect to the men that created NY Hardcore: AGNOSTIC FRONT, CRO-MAGS, WARZONE and others. Song three is an anthem for the cheapest high in the bodega: \"Steel Reserve\" (malt liquor) . \"Hostile Attitude\" has a truckload of venom for an individual trying to control another man. Read this \"You always tell me what to do/ How to live my life and crew/ Fuck it....Fuck you!/ You always tell me what to say/ Why don\'t you tell me something new/ I\'m getting sick and tired of you!/ Fuck it. Fuck you!\" The sentiments FED UP! is trying to convey are crystal clear! for song number five, FED UP! clobber you with \"Nowhere To Run\" Dennis sings I sense the hatred in your eyes/ I\'m the one that you despise / Now it\'s your time-your time has come/ Can\'t live it down-can\'t go away/ You\'ll stand alone when it\'s time to pay. There\'s alot of anger and rage building up in that song! \"Nowhere To Run\" leads right into \"Gonna Get Yours\" about terrorists and the beliefs that they use as excuses to kill innocent people. \"Butt-Man\" sings the praises of a women\'s ass. This is a sentiment shared by most punks if you can get them to admit it! \"Last Straw\" is filled with venom: \"This is the last straw/ Don\'t let them get to you/ Gotta make them pay their dues/ Got to strive for a better way/ We\'ll make them all fucking pay!\' Yes! We storm through \"Return\" and \"Aimless Youth\" and then we get to \"Back The Fuck Up.\" Read this shit: \"Back the fuck up/ Ain\'t gonna fuck with me/ Back the fuck up/ Your life don\'t mean shit to me....\" Is that clear to you fucks? You finish off this strong Fuck You Life CD by FED UP! with \"Chupa Chocha,\" \"Elimination,\" \"Tattoos\" and the self-titled anthem for Dennis and the bad men, \"Fed Up!\" This strong as fuck NY Hardcore that cuts across skinhead and HC lines to bring the citizens together! Been looking foward to this for fuckin ages.. and it hasn\'t diapointed!! From the first track to the last Dennis FU and lads have done a bang up job in supplying top quality, anger driven NYHC with attitude that really gets the adrealin pumping round the body.. with Dennis spitting out the lyrics and the aggressive music this is Hardcore like its supposed to be as far as I\'m concerned. Best tracks for me were \"Sick Fucks\", \"Steel Reserve\", Fed Up\", \"Gonna Get Yours\" and \"Back The Fuck Up\" but all 16 tracks are definatley worth a listen believe me.. top quality stuff, the hamburger deluxes are on me fella\'s (whtever the hell they are haha!!).. a gotta get.

FED UP! – ‘FUCK YOUR LIFE’ CD
Raw, old-fashioned New York Hardcore with a really cool stripped-down sound, so it’s really on the punk side of the fence which is just how I like my Hardcore. It’s got the unmistakable NYHC sound – it’s fast and aggressive but it’s also really crude in a cool way with unembellished production that suits it perfectly and just adds to the hostility in my opinion. This is FED UP!’s first full-length following a bunch of split 7”s and CDs and an EP too and it’s tough as shit. It’s a pity that the original NYHC sound has mutated into some unrecognisable metallic shit but with bands like FED UP! Carrying the torch of that original sound it will live on...if you miss that sound (I sure as hell do) then this is for you, this is mall about that volatile, energetic and dangerous Hardcore sound.

Straight up New York Hardcore. “Fuck Your Life” is 25 minutes of traditional sounding hardcore. Non of this nu-metal crap that has been coming out in the last few years. These guys are a comforting listening; and by comforting I mean angry and fast abrasive hardcore.
“Fuck Your Life” is has 16 fast and quick songs and at 25 minutes thats less then 2 minutes a song. But these guys don’t waste their time getting their message across. These guys are quick and to the point! The CD (and I’m guessing LP too) has all the lyrics and photos from various shows.
Band members include DENNIS F.U. on lead vocals, Luis on bass guitar, Dave “Skin” on rhythm guitar, Dave M. on lead guitar, and Efren on drums.
For fans of Agnostic Front, Breakdown, Black Flag, Iron Cross, Minor Threat, Murphy’s Law, and bands in that vein.
