Album Notes

Feed & Seed's musical inspiration is classic bluegrass, and that is the sound they recreate with remarkable accuracy. Staying true to bluegrass bands of yore, their high-intensity shows are performed through a single microphone. Regulars at several venues in Bellingham, Seattle, Portland, and Coupeville, they log an average of a dozen shows per month and get airplay in such far-away places as St. Augustine, Florida and Budapest, Hungary.
Fans of the stripped down/non-electric/straight style, their musical inspiration is mostly old classic bluegrass and country such as Flatt & Scruggs, Ricky Skaggs, Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. But they also aren’t afraid to list Paul McCartney, the Pogues, Bad Livers, Ramones and N.W.A. as their influences.

REVIEWS

Authentic, engaging, excellent selection
author: Steve Swenson
I have dozens and dozens of Bluegrass CDs and these guys sit at the top. They pick great songs, they keep dumbass production values (reverbs, bass boosts, layering and all that studio crap) under control, they keep the songs first. Great musicianship, real guys, real music. I'll buy anything they make and strive to copy their songs and styles.
