Album Notes

For over two decades Andre Feriante has been entertaining audiences in both Europe and The Americas. His music exudes a modern energy leaving Andre unique in an otherwise traditional genre. Seattle-based, Italian born Feriante is a Segovia-trained Guitar master who is bringing his sensual, contemporary sound to this music genre and to his growing international fan base. His intuitive, improvisational style speaks to the open minds of all ages, with his creative blend of Flamenco, Classical and Brazilian styles. Andre began studying classical guitar in Rome, and by age 17 was a teenage prodigy performing the likes of Bach and Vivaldi in concert in Europe. After having studied with guitar masters Andres Segovia and Henry Rivas, Feriante developed his own unique guitar style and has experienced a successful life as a recording artist. Among his seven CD's released Bohemian Boulevard is definitely his finest. Following his success of his critically acclaimed releases Angelica, Serenade and Fuego de Luna, this release features seven improvisations and eight compositions. Bohemian Boulevard takes you on a dramatic cross cultural journey from the passionate sounds of Malaga, Spain (Malaguena) to a moody southwestern story (Santa Fe Blues), and on to the cavalier sounds of medieval Spain (Spanish Rhapsody) and finally to the mysterious dreamscape of a Zen meditation (The Lotus Song). Andre is unrivaled in his execution of the tremolo technique on this CD (Malaguena Sunrise). Bohemian Boulevard is Feriante's most powerful and accessable release to date. For fans of no "bells & whistles"-just pure guitar: this release will reward their listening.
