As usual, Fern's adept musical abilities make her newest CD easy to love. Delightful lyrics are very singable and I clearly SEE the animals in AT PLAY. I find myself humming Fern's tunes around the house. Fern's forte is her variety of styles. It baffles me how someone making 'simple' children's music can work in elaborate folk traditions such as the high-baroque polka riffs on the lively BAND OF ANGELS.
