-------------

A collection of recordings from 1998-2001, Kandy Kids displays in retrospect how early on Fallen From The Nest began to define their sound, even if they had not honed their skills yet. This freshmen effort by FFTN in 2001 is about as raw as it gets.

You can hear in the songs the making of what would grow to be a staple in the Dallas music scene for years to come. While the songs are not platinum hits, the emotion is pure and the attitude is unrefined.

We recommend this album to big fans of either "grow" or "It's On", and especially to those fans who already own both albums.

Kandy Kids features FFTN's original bass player, Jeff Middleton, who was replaced by Brent Rambo shortly after the album's release.

Stunning Debut From Dallas's Greatest Rock Band
author: Andrew Elliott

Ok so fallen for the nest are no more its sad but true but one good thing has come of thier split and thats the release of their very first album KANDY KIDS. From start to finish the cd is full of clever song writing interesting guitar work and impressive rhythms. Whilst less consistent and less commercial than their later works the album fails to disappoint. The music itself fluctuates from fast punky rock to slow angsty grunge epics. Highlights such as the unsettling track SHINE which features violins and a range of edgy guitars and JUPITER COYOTE, the melancholic penultimate track, follow the bands legacy of their award winning album GROW. Whilst other songs like CONTRADICTION and KANDY KIDS burst with energy and raw emotion. Overall this CD is great value for money and a must have for any fan of fallen from the nest and their album grow. Whilst few will actually find this hidden gem of a cd it would deffinately appeal to any open minded rock fan or grunge devotee. Simply Stunning BUY IT WHILST YOU STILL CAN !
