Album Notes

On 3 seperate nights in November 2005, Fet Gede, the Vodou festival for the sacred dead was celebrated in the Miami neighborhood of Little Haiti. This CD is a companion to the double DVD package with the same name. It has a selection of excerpts from each night that are NOT on the DVD. It is an excellent introduction to Gede music, or the perfect addition to the double DVD.

Principal performers include "Ton Ton" Laguerre, "Ti Rouj" Senatus, and Yatande Boko, but dozens of other musicians appear as well. Special thanks to all the musicians and dancers, and JudePapalokoTheGenius.
