Album Notes

Back in December 2004, Beau proposed to Kimberly on the corner of Fifth and Market in downtown San Diego. Soon after, their love for music led them to start a band together. They named their creation Fiffin Market for obvious reasons. Armed with Beau's acoustic guitar and their voices, they began playing the local coffeehouse circuit. With a passion for acoustic music and traditional songs inspired by the music of Great Big Sea, Fiffin Market made strides to make their mark as one of the top Irish bands in the region.

Marcel joined the band in Spring of 2006 to turn the duo into a trio. He brought his steady bass skills and fun stage presence to the group - not to mention a third vocal which is essential to the band's harmonies. In the Fall of 2006, Fiffin Market needed a drummer to come on their annual "Autumn Forever Tour" which included a slot on the main stage House Of Blues in Las Vegas. Brinton helped out on tour and has stayed on to provide the solid beats necessary to keep the crowd going. He also will throw in the occasional "a whale" comment from time to time. To complete the band, Odell joined in December of 2006 on viola. He brought the perfect sound that Fiffin Market was lacking and got the band ready to graduate from coffeehouses to pubs.

Since St. Patrick's Day 2007 the band has not looked back. They constantly play shows and continue to make a name for themselves in the San Diego acoustic music scene. They recorded their new album "Lost At Sea" over the summer and released it in October 2007. It features their takes on classic traditional tunes like "The Wild Rover" and "Molly Malone", as well as original songs such as "My Dream" and "City That We Love". "Lost At Sea" symbolizes the band taking a journey to find a new sound and this is what happens when they return. They will continue to spread their music and message as long as God permits. Stay tuned, for the story has just begun...

I bought this for St. Patricks day but even now I still put it on. Great upbeat music with great twists like the version of Molly Malone. Nice rendition! I would recommend this CD for anyone that would like a change from the drab music that gets all the radio play. Great Job!
