Authentic 100 proof indie rock with a splash of pop, FIGHT FROM ABOVE is a group of four longtime friends known by their loyal California fan base for energetic, powerful live performances and intelligent, catchy songwriting in the spirit of Death Cab For Cutie, The Kooks, and Cold War Kids.
Zack (guitars and vocals) and Dave (drums) were childhood buddies who played in bands in the late 90's Agoura/Calabasas scene. Miner (guitars and vocals) joined them during their college years, playing in the band Hurlyburly and then welcoming Krook (bass) to form Fight From Above. In the midst of releasing two EP's, TIGERS OF TOLUCA (2005) and IT'S JUST SOMETHING TO SAY (2006), they began to build momentum, winning over audiences at the many storied Los Angeles venues somewhere between Hollywood's Sunset Strip and Silver Lake's Sunset Junction.
The band's full-length debut, L.A. KIDS (2009), is an homage to the unmarked, questionable joints with which they've fallen in love over the years. In a city known for passing trends, Fight From Above is avoiding the self-absorbed promotional machine in favor of planting roots that will last in the shadows of the downtown skyline.

This music video is phenomenal. The writer is a wonderful lyricist, the drummer awesome, the bass player cute, and the other singer strong as a back-up. They should all be extrememly proud of themselves for putting this C.D. together.
