Southern urban folk artist, Lauren Fincham has performed in, and organized several Indiegrrl concerts and benefits; she was also the featured performer for Westwood One at the 2005 Superbowl and Folk Alliance OASIS featured artist.

What makes Lauren Fincham's compositions so hypnotic and mesmerizing is her uncanny ability to draw in the listener and surround them in a virtual jacuzzi of texture and emotion. Her voice is convincing, honest, and endearing. Each track stands firmly on its own merit, reflecting the depth and scope of Lauren’s talent. Many have strained their precious little heads in an attempt to categorize Lauren as a possible mirror to the likes of Sarah, Joni, Suzanne, Aimee, Thea, Kate, etc... Yet it is exceedingly refreshing and more than long passed due to find a talent that defies categorization, yet retains the mass appeal of all those mentioned previously; without sacrificing her compositional substance and integrity of the individual composition. You are obviously visiting this site as you seek a higher caliber of talent and defy the excremental decibel droppings of modern FM radio. Following the height of AM radio, the introduction of FM was a mysterious and wondrous canvas, with artistic freedom to create at will.
