No Praise Enough

Fionnuala Gill is the Irish traditional music prodigy with a voice just like Mary Black, only softer and with gentler arrangements. Gill is bound to be a prominent figure in Irish traditional music throughout the world in the future. It would be nice to hear more songs i nGaeilge (in Irish Gaelic). This album is perfect though: not over-produced and simply soothing and perfect. It is a powerful force against the so-called "Celtic" artists which feed off band/act names, particularly in the US. A strong contender against the Celtic Woman franchise, "Whispers of Love" is forwardly prominent in dedication to tradition rather than commercialization.
Favourite track: 'A Mhuire na nGrás', with sounds between Moya Brennan, Nóirín Ní Riain and of course those completely original.
Future favourite(s): Checl out 'An Mhaighdeán Mhara', 'Suantraí Ár Slánaitheora', 'One I Love' and 'Mo Ghile Mear'.

Completely soothing, her crystalline vocals pull you right into the music, and you can close your eyes and simply float away into a fantasy! My one question is: does she have the right to have this amazing voice AND be so shockingly beautiful? :-)
