Album Notes

Put Joni Mitchell behind a piano. Make Jewel a mother. Add the Spiritual substance of Amy Grant or Nicole Nordeman and you will have Lisa Firestone on her new latest cd, "Be the Hope".

Known for her talent for writing a wide variety of styles, Lisa has by demand, compiled her most recent spiritually-centered songs to create a recording with messages God's love at it's core.

"Lifting Me" and "Closer to You" have the feel of uptempo Christian radio, and "You Heal Me" about the sweetness of finding home. "Miller Street" shares the joy of finding God in moments with the family.

Songs like "I Will Love You" about divorce, and "A Pure and Natural Thing," about childbirth, invite you to think outside the box.

Congregational songs, "Let me Love You," "I Am Whole," and "Peace Still Me" are powerful centering tunes with positive affirmations.

Playful songs like "Nothing at All" (a reggae lesson in communication), and "Chocolate" (a favorite vice!) warm the spirit and tickle the funnybone.

Lisa has played for internationally-reknown authors, Neale Donald Walsch, and Doreen Virtue, festivals, spiritual retreats, in addition to church services and concerts every Sunday somewhere throughout the southeast. A bridge for the spiritual substance of new thought in popular music, "Be the Hope" is textured with moving, emotive performances.

Yet another great collection from Lisa Firestone!
author: Rev. Aldon Samaha
"Be The Hope of Humanity" is a wonderful collection of inspirational songs with a couple of down to earth pieces included. Most of these songs could be played or sung in church with great effect. "I Walk Into This Place" could easily be a beautiful call to worship. What I like most about the general tone of all these songs is that it calls for change within me instead of complaining how the world needs to change. Beautiful is not an adequate word for this new album.
