ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Drawing inspiration from New England’s varied and textured landscape and seasons, singer-songwriter Cathy Trezza of Firewisp weaves enchanting tales of love, hope and romance on her debut album, Firewisp: Seeker of Dreams. Cathy combines lush vocals with soft synthesized backdrops in a layered Enya-like style as she sings stories of dreams and myths that vary with the seasons, from tropical islands and rain, to winter snows and romance in a Maine lighthouse to the fiery tale of the phoenix. The result is a soothing and sometimes spiritual journey, both relaxing and uplifting, perfect for the stressed out soul. While most of the songs are composed with a “New England” point of view, celtic and world music influences several tracks, including Vitae Amandae, a song in Latin while Middle eastern sounds influence the sexy and sinuous Possibility.
