San Diego's MindWorld Steppers' twist on reggae music is a genre in and of itself. Their diverse backgrounds in jazz, rock, African rhythms, funk and hip-hop converge in a veritable audio smoothie blended over a foundation of roots-rock and dub. Fishamon's inspiring lyrical dexterity blanket the sound with his signature charismatic style which permeates the performance at every turn. Add in Grace Mclean's background vocals, Colenium's flow, Rone-iff Carr's alto sax and you have a very distinctive, new sounding reggae band.
