The latest Fishbelly Black CD climbed it's way onto all the major smooth jazz radio playlists. Funky beats and breaks, soaring saxophones, and blistering organ and piano, take this groove machine on one wild trip through Acid Jazz. "Ven a Gozar" widened the narrow gap that Smooth Jazz had become, letting the dance groove be as integral as the soloing. Still, funky grooves like "Crusader" continue to feature Sax, and Mitchell's jazz guitar stylings also creep in to the mix.
