“My Invisible Friend” showcases Fishbowl’s talent for combining catchy rock/pop melodies with witty lyrical content. Musically, it ranges from straight-forward rock on “Edie Lies” and “Fishbowl” to the slightly reggae feel of “Her Girl Now.” Heavier tunes like “Look At Me” and “Unseen” are balanced by the mellower sound of “Her Blue Sky.” Curt Krause provides punchy bass lines and melodic lead guitar throughout, and the solid percussion and unique lyrics make this disc fresh and listenable.
